Renee Heiss

About Renee

Renée is the proud parent of three children and six grandchildren.  Her passion for teaching and learning has helped her become an award-winning children’s author.  As a retired teacher of child development for over 25 years, Renée has earned many honors and accolades.

She has been an instructor for the Institute of Children’s Literature and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.  Renee’s hobbies include philanthropic sewing, crossword puzzles, and developing lessons for currently employed teachers.  She lives in a rural area of New Jersey with her husband, Doug.
